Those who give up freedom for safety deserve neither. Benjamin Franklin
Hey there all of you freedom loving heretics! Thanks for all the new subscriptions and likes!
It’s another no-position-is-scared discussion about unabashed freedom. Because freedom knows no boundaries, be forewarned, this may upset those on the left and the right.
Once again I was planning to cover a topic today I’ve been working on for some time, but something happened that put me on a very different tack, one I’ve never covered here, albeit, one I may be uniquely qualified to write about.
The turning point came this morning after I read Jon Rappoport’s disappointingly titled blog, Pray For Drone Wars Over The Southern Border. I’ve been subscribed to Jon’s blog for some time, not because I agree with everything he’s says, but because sometimes he says things that are deeply insightful. This Drone Wars piece is not one of those times. In fact, it seems to have more in common with promoting one of those ‘official narratives’ of which I’m exceedingly wary, rather than offering any deep insight into what’s really going on along the border.
The official narrative I’m referring to in this case is the one being put forth by the deep state and the military industrial complex (MIC) which both Presidents Dwight Eisenhower and John F Kennedy warned us about.
Some of you are familiar with the MIC because you’ve done your own research or maybe you’ve read some of my earlier pieces about it. Some of you may remember that after 9/11, Republican president G. W. Bush created the Department of Homeland Security, which was the largest expansion of government in the history of the US up to that time. US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and the US Border Patrol (an arm of the CBP) all came under the auspices of the MIC. This explains why every president since that time has used the CBP as an excuse to throw taxpayer money at the corporations that make weapons and equipment for the CBP; vehicles, computers, weapons, military style vehicles, drones, check point facilities, cameras, helicopters and so on. Of course, all of this is to the sheer delight of those deep state lobbyists and their corporations. As part of the MIC, the CBP is now being adorned with all of the benefits of ever expanding purchases of corporate made war machinery.
This is why Trump was the MIC’s hero. He ignored Eisenhower and Kennedy’s warnings and gave the MIC billions to play with - the largest military spending increase in decades.
During Trumps extravagant spending, those of us living along the border began to loose more of our constitutionally guaranteed freedoms. Why? Because Trumps funding turned four temporary checkpoints near the border in my neck of the woods - check points that did not exist prior to NAFTA - into permanent installations. Thanks to Trump, my constitutional rights now get trampled every time I go to the grocery store, the bank or anywhere else. Because I have to go through a checkpoint to go anywhere, I get stopped and asked any number of non-pertinent questions and have my vehicle searched, all in violation of my Fourth Amendment rights.
Trump also signed into law a little known bill that gave the CBP the same secretive “security agency” authority as the FBI and the CIA - and we all know how badly the latter two have worked for us. With the signing of this bill came new high-powered cameras mounted on towers next to checkpoints that now watch my neighbors and I for miles as we drive down our rural highway on the way to and from town. Yup, even out here in the boondocks… Big Brother is watching.
But wait, isn’t that all being done as part of the ‘cause’… controlling the border? Not really. The special security authority granted by Trump gives CBP agents special rights to come onto private property on the US side of the border for any reason they deem, without the need of a search warrant. I can testify personally to this - BP agents have come onto my farm on several occasions, looking in my barn and other out buildings without a search warrant, claiming to be looking for migrants (none were ever found). They can also demand to see my (or your) laptop and look at the information on my (or your) cell phone.
But wait, aren’t you just talking about a few people living near the border? Actually, no. An Obama era rule certified an area of influence that grants the CBP these extraordinary powers anywhere within 100 miles of the US border. Given that most of the US population lives near a coast, near Canada or near Mexico, this means that 62% - nearly 2/3rds of the US population - is now subject to unconstitutional search and seizure measures granted to the CBP by Trump.
All of this, the taking of taxpayer money to fund the MIC (after being warned not to do so by 2 great presidents) the gifting of unprecedented powers to CBP while not allowing the people to know about it (let alone giving them the democratic opportunity to vote on the issue), the illegal search and seizure of property… all of it amounts to violations of our Constitutional rights, especially our Fourth Amendment rights.
Thanks Donald.
Understanding this onslaught by Bush, Clinton, Obama, Trump and Biden helps explain why so many just rolled over when the plandemic lockdown and jab mandates came. Give them an inch and they take a mile.
While I’m no proponent of open borders and I think Biden’s border policies are terribly misguided, as someone who has lived near the Mexican border for the past 45 years I can say that President Trumps polices were just as misguided as Biden’s. By now it’s quite apparent that the billions of taxpayer dollars Trump gave to the MIC to “upgrade” the CBP and “build that wall” has done nothing to deter the current migrant and smuggling surge across the border. In my region, that pricey new wall is already riddled with holes and tunnels, has been washed out by monsoon rains in several places and is about to be washed out in more places. As I said when Trump made his announcement to build the wall, it’s nothing more than a boondoggle giveaway to favored contractors. It was doomed from the get go.
Another negative legacy of Trumps wall was the destruction of our rural highway by the hundreds of very large, very heavy trucks that tore up our road hauling millions of tons of gravel down to the border to build Trumps new wall and roads. And who got stuck with the bill to repave that rural highway? All of us who pay local property taxes.
Thanks for nothing Donald.
back to jons piece
He links two articles, one of which is in the San Diego Union Tribune, owned by Patrick Soon-Shiong, a South African of Chinese Descent who has been living in the US since the early 80’s when he began Medical studies at UCLA. Soon-Shiong went on to make millions in the world of organ transplant, molecular genetics and bioengineering. His big payoff came with the invention of the drug Abraxan, a chemo therapy treatment wrapped in a protein, which, supposedly makes it easier to deliver to tumors. He also founded NantHealth, which provides a cloud based infrastructure to store total health information. Additionally, he formed a “do-tank” to coalesce medical science, health delivery and health finance. He also has investments in Zoom, graphine oxide and other dubious industries. In other words, the guy is invested in just about every dark, sinister industry responsible for the troubling times we live in, including the ownership of the San Diego Union Tribune and the LA Times. According to Forbes his net worth is around 7 billion. Look up the word globalist and you find Patrick Soon-Shiong’s name.
Is Soon-Shiong part of big pharma’s propaganda wing in Southern California? Or is it simply because he has investments and shares common ground with the MIC (and DoD bioweapons) that he would promote anything in his newspapers that would put more money in his bank account?
If you were thinking that this guy and Bill Gates share the same immoral, Luciferian, technofreakish goals about manipulating and controlling people, you might be right. They share an exceedingly warped personality type.
Ok. So that’s the guy that heads up the source of one of Jons links.
That link refers to information provided to the Union from the CBP about the number of recent drone incursions into the US. So, let’s break this down. Here we have one of the most untrustworthy branches of the MIC supplying information to an untrustworthy legacy media newspaper owned by one of the most sinister billionaires in the US. And Jon is asking us to trust all of this. This would be akin to trusting information that Pfizer provides to Fauci and Fauci tells to us.
Jon’s other source is Judicial Watch (JW), a conservative organization that uses FOIA filings to gain access to secret information, mostly about democratic politicians. While there certainly needed to be a lot of investigation into Clinton/Obama corruption, which JW did, they pretty much left Trumps dirty dealings untouched. It’s also well known that JW spent a lot of time chasing after non-issues in efforts to make the targeted people affiliated with those non-issues look bad. At best, JW’s track record is mixed.
This is the link Jon refers to in his piece in which JW refers to “high ranking officials” in the Texas CBP as their source. In other words, we are asked to trust them and their source. I’m sorry, I can’t trust an organization with a far right (or a far left) agenda, whose primary goal is to instill fear in the American public in order to coerce more tax dollars to buy more drones to further enrich the MIC. And to do that on behalf of the MIC itself… in this case the CBP? All of that is a bridge-too-far for me. Put another way, it all smacks of right wing collusion to engender public sympathy towards the border issue to glean more taxpayer revenue to help further enrich the MIC by buying drones and their weapons for the CBP.
same tactic, different program
Whether one is trying to sell weapons of war or bioweapon jabs, here is how and why this shell game works: They both incorporate a fundamental tactic… fear. In the same way big pharma investors coerced the government into promoting a massive fear campaign to get millions to line up for the highly toxic, highly profitable jabs, the MIC has been using the government to tell us to be fearful of those they deem to be our enemies. That could be Russia, China, Latin America, or Russians and Chinese trying to come in through Mexico. Who the fingers are being pointed at on any given day does not matter. The idea is to create fear in order to get more funding to build more weapons to further enrich the corporate wing of the MIC.
Unfortunately, far too many fall for this ploy, especially those who lean right. By endorsing the idea of spending ever increasing amounts of our increasingly limited budget on weapons of war, they do nothing but enrich a tiny cadre of MIC elites and drive a wedge ever more deeply between the haves and the have nots.
So, here is where we now sit. The righties blame the lefties for taking the jabs and the lefties blame the righties for being war mongers and neither one can see that both are being manipulated by the powers that be.
One advantage that military proponents have that vaxx proponents don’t have is the idea that being in favor of a strong military is patriotic - if you’re not for a strong military, you’re unAmerican. The Covdian cult doesn’t have any sort of phony bias like that working for them. No, virtue signaling, shaming and guilt tripping can’t hold a candle to patriotism, even if that patriotism is misguided.
What the war mongers on the far right want us to forget is that military oaths are sworn to uphold the laws of the Constitution, not the MIC.
All of this is part of the greater dog and pony show being run by the elites. Until enough people wake up to the fact that these fear/coercion tactics are employed across the board, taking advantage of both the right and left, we’ll all continue to suffer. I see Trump and Biden as two peas in a pod and both are working to move the pea agenda forward.
As Chris Hedges recently said, “The goons who oversee the empire sing from the same satanic songbook”. While I don’t always agree with Chris, he hit the nail on the head with that.
back to jon
Based on these dubious MIC sources telling dubious news sources like the Union and JW that drug cartels are surveilling US security forces with their drones, Jon thinks we should have a drone war and start shooting down cartel drones, even though “one of them might fall on someones head” Mine? I have to say, the fact that he is promoting the idea of a drone war certainly makes it seem like he is now working on behalf of the MCI, but I hope not. A drone war would be exceedingly profitable for all of those military drone corporations and those who make weapons for them. It would also stimulate a new round of government spending that would further enrich the haves and further deprive the have-nots.
And where do the cartels get their drones from? The same US corporations the US government gets theirs from. Those corporations and the banksters they work for must be drooling over Jon’s idea.
I commented on Jons piece and reiterated some of what I said above. He immediately deleted my comment, which only reinforced the possibility in my mind that he is controlled opposition. (Late edit - it’s been reinstated.) Is he less concerned about values and principles and more concerned about his personal preferences? Are the latter to help the MIC? Does he have investments none of us know about?
Or is this just a case of concentrated wealth, which has long had control over the legacy media, now expanding control over what we read in blogs?
border solutions - thoughts about where to begin
As it pertains to the possibility of drug cartels flying drones into the US, before the CBP begins to randomly shoot down any drone that comes within range and causing all sorts of mayhem in the process, we first need to go after cartel money by ceasing to aid and abet banks that are laundering money for the cartels and instead, impose deep and effective sanctions against them. Next, we can seize cartel funds from those banks and other assets anywhere else they exist. And yes, there are people in the US government who know exactly what banks are involved and where those other assets exist. The reasons those assets have not yet been seized is due to the aforementioned corruption.
I say, root ‘em all out!
Contrary to what Jon may say, a drone war along the US border with Mexico would only serve to exacerbate border issues, not cure them. Border issues need to be dealt with at the source. Contrary to what MIC enthusiasts like Trump, Biden, Jon and anyone else would have us believe, those issues are not created at border.
As it pertains to the migrant issue, the ‘source’ begins with the long and terrible history of US intervention in Latin America. It expands to include a complex web of corporate intrigue that now engulfs all of North and South America. In other words, to cure border issues we first need to deal with banking/corporate/government corruption here in the US.
Next, we need to correct the injustices that have long been imposed in Latin America by US corporations and the US government. We can begin by returning all of those lands that were stolen by corporations. Only then will we begin to truly deal the issues at the border.
As the following dialogue from just one US military operative makes clear, we have along and sordid history in Latin America. And people wonder why there are drug cartels and a border crises?
“I spent 33 years and four months in active military service and during that period I spent most of my time as a high class muscle man for Big Business, for Wall Street and the bankers. In short, I was a racketeer, a gangster for capitalism. I helped make Mexico and especially Tampico safe for American oil interests in 1914. I helped make Haiti and Cuba a decent place for the National City Bank boys to collect revenues in. I helped in the raping of half a dozen Central American republics for the benefit of Wall Street. I helped purify Nicaragua for the International Banking House of Brown Brothers in 1902-1912. I brought light to the Dominican Republic for the American sugar interests in 1916. I helped make Honduras right for the American fruit companies in 1903. In China in 1927 I helped see to it that Standard Oil went on its way unmolested. Looking back on it, I might have given Al Capone a few hints. The best he could do was to operate his racket in three districts. I operated on three continents.”
General Smedley D. Butler, from War is a Racket (1933)
Just wanted to let everyone know that Jon Rappaport reinstated the comment I made to his blog. In the past my comments have been posted right away. This one took hours. A change of heart...? A mistake...?
The Military Industrial Medical Complex has created the worst possible world so the least number of people can enjoy the greatest amount of wealth.
And what is wealth? Or should I say what is their idea of wealth? What makes a soul so empty that there is not enough money in the world to fill it? These people are black holes of need. They aid and abet each other and normalize their corruption and mix the putrid ooze of their goals into something that can only rot further.
There needs to be a clean sweep, but how? When everyone everywhere has been bought and paid for, what do you do? It doesn’t matter what part of the political spectrum you belong to, it is corrupt and has sunk into madness.
As you point out, fear is the basis of it all. Greed is only fear of not having enough. Fear of death from some mysterious disease is only the fear of being truly alive.
The rulers have always been corrupt since the dawn of civilization. “Power corrupts…” But now the corruption is no longer being hidden. Have we reached peak corruption? Has the pendulum swung to the extreme of the arc? If so, then things are going to get better. Unfortunately, not immediately, but the pendulum does swing back the other way.
